Wow what a day..(or days since I haven't properly slept since Friday night!) After a bit of a delay at Dubai because they had loaded the wrong bags onto the plane(!) I finally arrived in Bangkok to lots of talk of protests. I stood in the taxi queue and a German guy and girl behind me asked if I wanted to share a taxi into the city. Win - cheap taxi I thought. When I showed the lady the address of my hostel she pulled out a piece of paper which said due to the protests taxis are unlikely to get to the address and would drop you as close as possible. Didn't fancy wandering the streets with my backpack in the dark so I went to the hostel the other two were staying at. Luckily there was availability. Now to work out my plan of attack for the next few days whilst avoiding the protests.
