This morning we paid a visit to the Reichstag, an iconic building in Berlin that houses the German parliament. The Reichstag's main attraction is the giant dome on the roof, which sort of looks like a big glass beehive. Inside, there are two ramps that wind around the outside to lead you up to (or down from) the viewing platform. If you look up, the very top of the dome is open to the air, under which there is a round bench where you can enjoy an awesome 360 degree view of the cityscape. From below, the platform sits on top of a huge funnel-shaped support that is entirely covered with mirrors and adds another element of visual interest to an already quirky design.
After tasting the best veggie burgers that we've ever had, we went for a stroll through Kreuzberg, a pretty cool area where a friend of ours used to live. Thanks for the recommendations Linds!

Rhonda Wow, sounds like you're having WAY more fun there than we are here... good on you! What a long and satisfying trip! Thinking of you often...
Mike Berlin sounds like a trip well worth taking. The world will look different thereafter, no doubt.
