Next stop was Hoi An....fortunately a smaller more relaxed town only 5kms from the beach this time. Guess where my first stop was? Only after a quick dip in the pool. Watched a storm approach then cycled home when the rain stopped, I love being in the sea during a storm! Visited a tailor called Happy (who was very Happy) then had dinner in the old town! Hoi An continued in much the same fashion.....beach, swim, football, food, clothes fittings ad nore beach with a few trips to the market and the beach! Had dinner with the locals on the beach by candle light....how romantic....shame it was only with John, Maria and Rach....no offence guys! Caught the night bus onto Nha Trang....oh how I love night buses!!!!!
Arrived in Nha Trang at stupid o'clock in the morning....and guess where I went first....guessed yet? The beach of course....to be fair(Sarah...I actually say that on a regular basis now!!!!) there's not much else to do there....shame! It's a bit like Blackpool on a smaller scale with a proper beach, no rain and plenty sunshine! Went dinghy sailing for the first time (I'm used to sailing larger vessels) which was awesome! There is a nice(or used to be) Island which is now connected to the mainland by a cable car...yes...a great big bloody cable car...who's idea was that...bet it was the Japanese! Had drinks on the balcony courtesy of Kirsty and hit the town....not that I remember too much of it!!! Managed to party into the wee small hours anyway!
Great.....boat trip with a hangover! I wasn't the worst! It wasn't too bad...a dip in the sea and some snorkelling made thigs a little better! I've missed the fishes...it's been a while! Had a massive lunch on board and was then treated to the most bizarre form of emtertainment ever! The boat crew playing drums made of plastic containers, an electric guitar and singing random songs that relate to the countries from which the passengers came from!!! Then....it all got even more bizarre...the rubber rings were thrown in the water and we all jumped in to race for a glass of wine from the floating bar. Surreall...floating around the sea drinking wine and chatting to folk from other boats doing the exact same thing...it was great! Whats even better, is that it cost $5! What a great day, the islands are beautiful as well...if only I could rip down that cable car! Well being the party town that it is....we continued to party! I happily chatted on the beach as our resident DJ Stu played a little set in the sailing club as John and Rachel lay snoring on the beach! Jock and I had to put them to bed....Joy!
Beach, swimming, beach, swimming, yummy food, mud baths, thermal pools(38 degrees...nice in the heat!!!!!but great for the skin!) and yet more beach.....had to prepare for the trip to Saigon and make sure the tan( yes I do have a tan!) would last until Thailand!
