Crossed the border into Vietnam with Bikini on and sarong in hand...well I thought about it! Spent the first evening in Hue breathing a very large sigh of relief....no truck....yipee!!!! Wandered some of the Imperial city and watched the sunset over the river with a glass of red wine(another good reason to be very happy!). Hired bikes the following day and Rach and myself cycled 20kms to the South China Sea....bliss! The beach was deserted as it's off peak time here really, and the sea was like steppig into a warm bath! Ate pineapple, read, swam, ate more pineapple( the hawkers wouldn't leave us alone) and swam some more. Oh how I missed the sea.......few more freckles now!How strange that I'm trying to get a tan and the hawkers are walking about in 35 degree heatm literally covered from head to toe...with gloves and socks to prevent themselves getting in the least bit darker! They think we're mad...perhaps we are! Spoke to my mummy....long overdue...oops...sorry mum!

Explored the Imperial city by bike and Citadel by foot, nice to get some exercise again, then onto Thien Mu Pagoda before a fruit shake in the market. Had a nice wee boat ride on the river to visit the Pagoda again and then chatted to Wee sis....again long overdue....sorry Hetty....and Loo...impossible to get hold of!
