We continued along the coast south of Sydney today. The coastal drive from Sydney to Nowra is called the Grand Pacific Drive and is spectacular. One could do the whole drive from Sydney and return in a day and we highly recommend it. From Bela on the coast we headed inland to see some of the Snowy Mountains. The drive up the range is interesting. We reached a plateau at about 1,100 meters and traveled along it to Cooma. This is not the top of the Snowy Mountains and we will be covering more of the range at the end of December when we travel to Canberra. From Cooma we headed south and entered the state of Victoria. The weather continues to be good. We are out of tropical Australia and the temperature is much more moderate. The last two days (with the exception of Thursday) have been in the mid-20s but it cools down to the low teens at night. Quite comfortable for travelling.
