Hey guys!!
ok so here we go again........
Ok so we arrived in Brisbane and went to a hostel which was recommended to us by two girls. We booked into a hostel called Cloud 9 for one night, we went into the room and you couldn't see the floor and then we went into the kitchen and there was a cockroach. So by this point i decided i defently did not wan to stay here any longer so we went on search for another hostel. Then the next morning as we were just getting ready to leave a girl said to one of the guys there is something in her food bag, so he couldn't see it so he took the bag outside and a little mouse came trotting back in to say hello!!nice hey?!
So then we booken into a new place called Tin Billys which was sooo much better!!was like 5* accomodation compared to what we had been staying in!! We then met up with Helen and Talor later on that day and took a walk around the city and went to the lagoon and chilled out. Then we went back to the hostel and we did a trivia quiz and our team came practically last!!whoop!! Our room was like the best in this hostel everyone was really nice and we met a guy from Southwell in Notts! The next day we met up with helen and taylor again and went for another walk around the city and saw a bit of china town, the botanical gardens and some pretty spectaular views! Then later on that night we just chilled at the bar with everyone from our room again.
The next day we moved onto Surfers Paradise! I loved this place, i have officially decided its my new home!!the weather was amzing and so was the hostel, everyone was dead friendly! The first night we went on a massive bar crawl which was cool, went to 4 different clubs! The next day we just chilled by the beach and had a chilled out night, we even had a tv in our room!the luxury!! Then the next day we agin chilled by the beach and hit the town again, and had yet another awesome night! and then the following day we chilled at the beach again and then we played loads of card games with some of the lads that we had met, and one of them was from Nottingham too! The next day we left Surfers Paradise to go to Byron Bay........
o we arrived in Byron Bay and the weather sucked a bit, it was raining so we kinda just chilled at the hostel and had a very chilled out night! Then the next day we took a walk around, again it was raining. We then met up with one of the girls we were with in Surfers Paradise and had another chilled out night with the goon!! Helen also text me tonight saying that they had been evacuated from there campsite in Brisbane as it was 4 foot under water!!Then the next day didnt do a lot again as it was still raining!! But we hit Cheekey monkeys that night and saw some sights, people were stripping naked to win prizes!They obviously have no self respect!! The next day we were taking a trip to a place called Nimbin, although the flooding had started to happen and we weren't to sure how far we were going to make it. We managed to get to Nimbin but spent an hour there and had to come back, when we were coming back though the roads were quite flooded and we had to keep turning around!! Also the power lines were down and trees had been falling down! we got back to the hostel and the power was out and was out for quite a while!Then we walked to Cheekey Monkeys for dinner and it was literally like a hurricane, was crazy!! But then the next day we actually got a day of sunshine so we went to the most easternly point of Australia and to the lighthouse, and also went to the beach. Although the clouds did start to come over again and guess what?! it started to rain!! The next day we were meant to be leaving to go to surf camp, so we got up nice and early to get our bus at 8 to find out it had been cancelled due to the floods, so that means another two nights in Byron, oh the joy!!hehe So the buses have still been getting cancelled, but we are meant to leave tomorrow so we have our fingers and toes crossed!!!
