Days 49, 50 -31st August & 1st September Nicaragua

Local Fly's & Pot Holes

As Rob and myself approached the border with Nicaragua we were greeted with swarms of locals running towards us trying to trying to change money and give us help to cross the border, for a fee of course. This is what I expected at the other crossing, so wasn't that surprised. After fleecing us of the paper stuff for crossing fees that made no since we were on our way to our third Central America country.

The water in the showers is heated at the shower head although most didn't work. Starting to hit volcan country,

most are under cloud.

Decided to head towards the a town called San Jaun Del Sur near the border with Costa Rica for an early entry next morning.

Can't believe how small some of these countries are, only takes 1 day to cross. San Juan Del Sur sits on the coast and had a very relaxed feel about it. Sat in a restaurant on the beach and watched the sun go down.

Didn't think much of Nicaragua.
