Days 54, 55 & 56 September 5 - 7th Santiago & Panama
Adios Central America
Border crossing went smooth in Panama, it's amazing how much interest the motorcycles get where ever we stop. I stuck a Kangaroo sticker on the window of the Customs office as it seemed the thing to do. Bumped into two riders coming up from South America, one from London and the other from Argentina. After a quick chat we were of in separate dictions.
There is something about the Latin American culture, everything has to be noisy, smokey and extremely colorful. Hence Panama City, this is one compact city. High rises everywhere and the traffic was terrible. No pictures from PC as it was ugly, although did get a video shot. Only ended up spending 3 days in PC as bike freight and flight went a to plan a lot quicker than I thought. I did want to see the Panama Cannel but couldn't pass the opportunity to hit South America sooner rather than later.
Ended up in seat 1A in business class for the flight to Quito Ecuador and so they should for the price.
Parted ways with Rob as he is heading by boat to Columbia. It has been great riding together and I hope his journey is safe as he heads south. Thanks rob.
Cheers
Greg
