May I just point out that George's spelling in William James Hendry's message was correct.

Hi Guys
Great PCs and photies! Good to hear you are still in one piece even though the motor seems to be taking a hammering.
Hope to talk again soon.

Thanks for the email-thought i'd return the favour by posting a quick message and catching up on your adventures. Am v jealous/inspired and think you are mad but you have my respect! Just at work here and not much going on in the world (can't remember if i told you that I have moved jobs-now work on BBC news website).
Anyhoo am loving the pictures and look forward to reading about the rest of your travels.
All the best

Hi guys,
I`m happy to see that you arrived safely to Malawi. If you like to play golf at Lilongwe Golf Club, just do it. We had a lot of fun there especially at the driving ranch. There u have to rent a caddy who picks up every ball while he is in the danger zone.
And if you go on to Mosambik take care of the police!!! They will stop and control u erverywhre because of your different plates. Try always to make a deal and dont`t be to polite. We were stopped 4 times in 6 days and I can tell you corruption isn`t a word for it.
Have fun

Baaaaazzzzzyyy,
Think I'm the last member of the family to have found this site! Very proud of trunky's progress. Mum sent me to do pass plus for pulling off a complex Latino dance move at the wheel of the family volvo on the M1 causing me to swerve across a lane...checked my mirrors before the manoeuvre*.
Loving life at edinburgh, went to aim's flat for tea and was given your latest progress update. Even sneeked up to St Andrews for the Opening Ball. Wasn't as fun as your one! went in baird tartan but had no reels to strut it around.
Looking forward to seeing you and father christmas in december. Enjoy yourself. best of luck

Mummy Baird
Sorry no movement on the wretched light bulb but i dont know how, with only my fledgeling computer skills to rely on, and those that can move it seem to be slacking some what!
A text i received yesterday said that the boys should have crossed into Malawi and would then head for Lake Rukwa which i assume is the same lake as Jamie was talking about in his message!
The Baird parents do talk to each other. Honest!
Text also said plan was to spend 4 days in Malawi.
Is there any one else out there? At the moment the message board appears to be horribly dominated by Bairds and my oh so amusing mother!
Come on chaps we need some entertainment while we wait for the troops to return!

Apparently they have left Kenya and got into Tanzania according to snippets of info filtering through. They may even now be in Malawi (presumably at the top of what used to be Lake Nyasa when I did geography at school but is now no doubt called Lake Malawi or something) although I thought that they were going direct from Tanzania to Zambia. Maybe they were in a dry river bed and it just took them there!
Seems that roads are for wimps and they are now driving everywhere via dry river beds. Great until you reach a dam and have to reverse 59 miles to get out of the river bed!
Me again...! Just thought that zee fact zee Germans won zee race needed commenting on! I take it that as they have left a message they also have read my rude postcard about them! Oops sorry Germans!

Oh and its good to see you have matured on your life changing, incredible trip... nice picture of "a giant willy"!!!
