We arrived in Australia Zoo after a quick drive to the Glass House Mountains early that morning. They were absolutely stunning and the views were just incredible from the lookout points. We were glad we did it but were quick to get back on the road to get to the zoo before it opened so we could be first in the door!

The zoo itself is amazing! Its so organised and clean from the second you get in the door. We allowed ourselves the whole day as its quite big inside and we wanted to see every bit of it. We planned where we were going around the times of the shows going on around the zoo at different times, the highlight being the Croc Show presented by Terry,Bindi and Ben Irwin.

That show was class seeing the Irwins altogether and learning a bit more about crocs! We had a great day walking around the zoo seeing all the different animals they had and the amount of care and effort that goes into maintaining it. It was a bit sad walking around the tribute area and reading all the different letters of condolences from around the world. He had done so much for the zoo and didnt live to see it all grow and develop to what it is today. He would be proud!

So after a long day of walking around, we hit the road again and started the drive to Brisbane to meet up with friends and take a night off from the campervan.
