We got up after a few hours sleep sporting a fair amount of alcohol poisoning. We left the hostel and caught the bus to Noosa Junction. When we got to Noosa, we got picked up by the Gagaju Bush Camp minibus where we would face our ultimate fears camping in 'the bush' for the next 3 nights.
We got taken to a supermarket where we were given a strict 30 minutes to buy all our food and booze for the trip. It was like supermarket sweep! As usual, we were the last ones back to the minibus.
We got taken to our bush camp where we checked in to our 'dorm room'. It was basically a wooden hut with camping beds in. We thought we'd get a good sleep that night.
We cooked dinner in the outdoor kitchen which had hobs and a barbecue. It was pretty decent! We made sausage pasta which we ate by the log fire, then we chilled out watching films in the tv room for the remainder of the night with the rest of the group which were all really nice! In our group there were 4 people from Essex and 2 people from London. It was like being at home on the other side of the world!
We finally decided to go to bed so we turned our torches on and went to our dorm. As we opened the door, we saw the biggest spider scurrying so fast across the room! Omg we were petrified!! There was a lot of commotion in the dorm room but then the boys from London came to save the day and killed the spider. We got no sleep that night because we were so scared of the spiders!

We got up early to have breakfast and met our group at 8.30am by the river. We were given life jackets, a 'waterproof container' for our bags and oars. Me, Hannah and Siobhan had a 3 man canoe '3 blondes in a boat'. We canoed down the river for about 2 hours to a sandy beach in an open lake where we had lunch. After lunch we headed back to the camp. As we were canoeing back, two boats capsized and they couldn't get back in the boat! I don't know how we didn't manage to capsize the boat, but it was just as well as there were tons of poisonous jellyfish in the water. Not to mention the fact that our iPod and speaker was playing in our boat so it would've sank!
When we got back we were exhausted!! It was such a hard day; we had canoed 20km! We checked in to our accommodation for the next two nights - a tent!! I was actually looking forward to sleeping in a tent as it had a net so it would keep the insects out, but the girls were s$ting their pants. We showered and then cooked our second meal in the bush.. Barbecued hotdogs! This was our first Australian barbie! We chilled with our group in the tv room then decided to hit the goon and play some pool drinking games.

We overslept so unfortunately we missed the 2nd day of canoeing. Doh! But we were quite glad as we were knackered and didn't want to fall in with the jellyfish. We spent the day watching movies with the rest of our group (who also didn't get up). I really miss just watching a film so it was so good! We had the laziest day and then later we headed to the lagoon nearby which was a old quarry which had a hot spring. We had a swim in the lagoon and then headed for a mud bath in the mud pool next to it. Ahhhh it was so much fun!! We were jumping in and getting stuck in the mud! Later on after we washed all the mud off, we had the BEST meal since leaving home.. Mashed potato with sausages and beans! YES BOY. We chilled out and went to sleep with the creepy crawlies for our last night.

We were leaving the camp today so we chilled out once again and watched some movies before getting the bus to our next destination... Rainbow beach!

Mum Another very amusing tale. I love the spider and mud bath stories!! Great memories! Amazing that you didnt capsize your boat and get stung by jelly fish!!
