16th November -

It was time to leave Thailand and embark on a new adventure in Laos. So we got up early and boarded the bus to take us to Luang prabang which was an hour fashionably late as usual.

We drove for about 3 hours before we stopped off at a beautiful white temple or in Hannah's case 'Disneyland'. As we marched on upto the temple and came across a sign warning 'due to inappropriate behaviour tourists may only enter the temple with a tour guide'. Clearly news had spread quickly that Fenning had arrived in Thailand. Taking it all in his stride, Fenning took on the role of tour guide showing us the best sights of the temple including superman, Harry potter, Ben10 and spiderman.

We hopped back on the bus for another 3 hours before stopping at the border. We had to cross the river to Laos by slow boat. It was a bit concerning when the guy was emptying the boat of water with a bucket before we got on it, but hey ho.

Once we got to the other side, we went through immigration and headed on Tuk Tuk to the station where we climbed on board the night bus which we would take us to luang prabang.

Little did we know, how entertaining it would be. We figured out that VIP bus doesn't mean VIP in Thailand when the roof decides to leak in the middle of a rainstorm.

Luckily, for me and Hannah we missed the shower. However, Fenning didn't get off so lightly. He started to cover the leak with chewing gum in an attempt to save the bus from a flood.
