8th March - Swedish house mafiaaaaaa!! Wooooo! The day we had been waiting for! :D the gig didn't start until 4pm, so we had planned to go to see the Hollywood sign. No sooner had we got ready and it was completely pissing it down outside! Bloody typical..! Especially on the day of SHM!! We found a shop that sold ponchos and sacked off the Hollywood sign to brave the rain in order to get some make up and a mask for the masquerade ball. As the gig was outside, we thought we'd better buy some shoes which we can get muddy incase it was a repeat of the past 2 years at Creamfields! Even when we're at a festival on the other side of the world, it rains!! We bought some trainers and rushed back to our hostel to get ready. The boys from Texas tagged us in a photo on Facebook of tickets for tonight's gig which they had blagged.. So they were now coming with us! Yayyy! We all pre-drank altogether in our room with our 'Vodka of the Gods' and caught the 'trolley' AKA the tube to the gigs venue. I had made an oath to myself to stop drinking at 9.45 so i would actually remember the night, seeing as I can't remember New Years Eve or Creamfields last year! We spent the whole night with the boys, raving along to SHM! I managed to shimmy us near to the front. It was such an unforgettable night!! I'm so glad we changed our flights - certainly a decision well made!!
