Wow well just got back form a couple of days in far north Queensland, Cape Tribulation! We went to the Daintree rainforest, swam in the most gorgeous gorge and then searched for crocs on the Daintree river! We saw about 4, but they were only small ones the bigguns were obviously hiding.... We planned on going paddle trekking up there too, but the weather was too wet and the creek too high so we couldnt get there! I have never seen so much rain, trust me to g...

Hey everyone! I am now in Singapore staying with Paula & Mark (Pat's son & daughter-in-law). I have had a lovely coupled of days here in this super efficient country! Everything is clean and trains and buses come all the time so its easy to get about! All they seem to do is shop here though so thats what I did yesterday! I also went to the night safari which was pretty good, very touristy though but we saw loads of animals including hyenas, ant eaters, ...

Ok so after a couple of days wandering around China town, visiting the towers and the huge shopping malls I left KL for Melaka, a smaller more historic town two hours South of KL. (I have to confess though I ended up going to the cinema and having hot chocolate in Starbucks in KL, not true traveller style I know but it was a much needed pick me up!!) To be honest I wasn't that sad to say bye to the big KL, but it had been an experience! I got on another trul...

...So...the next morning I said a sad bye to all my new friends from the dive centre and to Phi Phi (although I reckon I will be back!!) and headed to catch the ferry to Krabi. I caught a bus to Penang with no one else who spoke English until the border, where a South African guy, Jason, who was on the visa run from Phi Phi joined us...at last some company! We got dropped off at 8pm in Penang and managed to find a grotty but cheap (less than $4 a room) guest...
