Ok so after a couple of days wandering around China town, visiting the towers and the huge shopping malls I left KL for Melaka, a smaller more historic town two hours South of KL. (I have to confess though I ended up going to the cinema and having hot chocolate in Starbucks in KL, not true traveller style I know but it was a much needed pick me up!!) ...So...the next morning I said a sad bye to all my new friends from the dive centre and to Phi Phi (although I reckon I will be back!!) and headed to catch the ferry to Krabi. I caught a bus to Penang with no one else who spoke English until the border, where a South African guy, Jason, who was on the visa run from Phi Phi joined us...at last some company! We got dropped off at 8pm in Penang and managed to find a grotty but cheap (less than $4 a room) guest...
