Well I wrote the whole blog after we got back from dinner
and saved it but it didn’t save. So you’re getting the very short version.

We didn’t have a great start to the trip. We missed our bus to the airport but managed to flag it down as it was leaving the terminal. So bad but then good.

The airport checkin of bags was a joke. Air Canada sucks! Took us about 50 minutes altogether. Security took forever. We thought we were done- NOPE! Now we had to go through US immigration. Jo got directed to the line of 7 people and I, with my Nexus pass tucked safely in my purse (didn’t want to leave Jo by herself), got sent to the line with about 100 people! After about 40 minutes in the US Immigration process (Jo got through in 5 minutes) I finally arrived at the bar and had a quick beer p. The. It was off to the gate only to find our flight was delayed for 30 minutes. This happened twice (that’s an hour for you math challenged people).

After an uneventful flight we arrived and got our bags in record time only to spend over an hour in a cab to get to our hotel. So good and then bad!

After a fast checkin we decided to have dinner in the hotel gastropub and call it an early night so we could make the most of tomorrow. Jo has been sick for 2 weeks and Valerie is an early to bed girl.

Valerie gave us some bad news. The price of Cubs tickets has gone up a lot so that may not be an event we can check off our to do list. We’re going to check out scalpers prices but Wrigley Field may not be in the cards for us.

We also were given a mission to find my cousin, Wendy’s, friend who is in Chicago for the weekend, as well. So we’ll all be on the lookout for “Molly”.
I’m posting a pic of our vanity in the hotel bathroom with Jo & my stuff. Now I know why they call it a vanity.
