Hola from Brazil,
Just a quick catch up, dorm is going well, don't get quite as much sleep but I has 3 siestas yesterday so feeling good ha ha. Sharing with a german couple and this Israeli guy who is really nice. We went up as a group to see Christ The Redeemer up Corcovado mountain in the Tijuca national park, views were out of this world and weather was perfect blue skies, sunshine then storm clouds on the other. Made for some wicked pics.
We asked chef to do us a BBQ so paid 25 reais (about £15) and got massive lunch with 2 drinks then huge dinner with 2 more drinks. Random moment, felt something wet on my toe, flicked my food and a centipede had dropped on me eugh. Sam looked down and said aagh it's dragging a little baby behind it.......it was just a lump of poo! A centipede shat on my toe.......first good travelling story.
We're going to the famous Lapa steps and for a wander today then heading down to Copacabana tomorrow to watch Brazil match with the locals. They have set up a massive screen on the beach to watch it.
Beer is becoming our staple diet now which is slightly concerning as well as Caipirinhas (local cocktail) made with cachaca sugar and limes it's soooo good. Most of our friends are moving on today but we're staying until weds then heading to Ilha Grande. Sorry if I'm repeating things but can't be bothered to read previous blog before I write. Adds might write a blog soon too hopefully but he's being lazy at the moment :)
will arrange a Skype with the padres soon
Bye for now
missing your faces

I'm planning on watching the Brazil game too tomorrow, I'll keep an eye out for you. Wave! The photos (both of them) look excellent. Shame about the centipede! Isn't it lucky? Or is that seagulls? Continue enjoying the good life. Try to keep your strength up, you've got the Inca Trail ahead!! Missing you is becoming a normal part of the daily routine now so I guess I'll get used to it, eventually. Big love xXx
