re: Koh Phangan, ThailandDad Off Exploring haven't given you a new Thai page have they? Briefly puzzling. Well, what a bus. That sounds rather like luxury, not a word we have come across much in your accounts of your adventures. As I said on an earlier page (!!??$**!) I am certain that you will now be settling down to a few days of sensible behaviour, reading the Financial Times, discussing the mysteries of the cosmos, sipping Earl Grey and having lots of early nights. Ha! And then Jo arrives! I still find it difficult to get my head around the speed at which the last 12 months have flown by (standing still my hair is blowing in my eyes). All the places you've been, the things you've done. Just brilliant. The world is now a totally different place for you both, it has changed, you have changed. What a huge busload/donkeyload/tuktukload of achievements - well done Batgirl and Bandit! Hey, see you soon, lots of love xXx
re: Bangkok II, ThailandDad I wouldn't dream of telling you how many days it is to home-time, but for me it's a very manageable number. I can't believe how quickly the year has gone really. I know we met up halfway at Bangkok so it has only been 6 month stretches but even so... 12 months in (almost) the blink of an eye. I bet it just stretches into infinity for you two... all the sights and people and smells and buses and sounds and the soups. All in all a very different life for a time. What next??? Well, I know you're in Thailand now and no doubt you're both having a very cultural and meaningful time... right! I hear you're having a visitor too. OK, that's it for now. Enjoy the rest of the big adventure, see you soon xXx
re: Vang Vieng, LaosMomma M Well the cheese ,sausage and mash ,cereal sounds fine but milk and cider togethr sounds pretty gross he he. So it's countdown time just like when we teachers were on countdown after the summer hols ugh! Once you have been back a few days you will feel like you haave never been away. Back to reality and moving on with your life....but just think what a life changing experience you have had.I am sure that you will now have more focus on what it is you want /where you would like to be /and how you are going to acheive you new dreams. I have faith in the new you and cannot wait to see you again spending quality time together as a family. So little one enjoy the rest of your last few weeks travelling and just think how lucky you are.Love you squillions xxxxx
re: Vang Vieng, Laos[email protected] Thanks for the update....ENJOY Thailand once agan. xxxxxxxx
re: Luang Prabang, LaosDad Hiya, not too bad a journey then?? I imagine that you'll be in Thailand by now - so maybe you'll be able to catch the wedding?? I hear sounds of crowds yelling and screaming (could be from the television or could be passengers on your wonderbus). You really do pick them don't you. Poor Alex, poor ribs! How are yours now? I'll resist the only xx days left to go... It will be brilliant to see you both though - and it's only been a 6 month gap for some of us. In fact I think your ribs had better hurry up and recover as they may be in for a serious crushing when certain people see you. Say hello to Thailand for me. Looking back at the photos (yours and ours) we did meet some lovely people didn't we? I had a really nice time. Take it easy and enjoy (gently). Love you loads xXx
re: Luang Prabang, Laosmummy d There seems to be a lot fo folks who have had some time in Africa doing chef things... am I right... well maybe 2 or 3... interesting...wonder why? see you soon, xxx
re: Jinghong, ChinaMomma M Well China is behind you and it's my guess that you will not be returning? Glad to hear that you are now happy having returned to Asia. The sun is shining here and Karen and your grandma are joining us for a coffeethis morning so hopefully we will be able to sit in the garden and enjoy the beautiful flowers and trees which are a riot of colour at the moment. Happy Easter to you both. Continue to stay safe and happy. If you read this Poppa and I have emailed you did you read it? Big hugs x
re: Luang Nam Tha, LaosDad Hey, glad you're happy again. China didn't seem to do it for you did it? Enjoy the beer and pancakes etc. Have a good time in Laos. Talk soon. Love xXx
