Monday 20th October: We were picked up from the hostel in Brisbane at 6:30 and met our new driver, Forest. On the way to Rainbow beach we stopped at a lookout to see the Glass House Mountains and forest told us the Aboriginal Story behind their creation. The Views over Queensland were stunning! We also stopped at Noosa for a little dip in the sea and then it was back on the bus. When we arrived at Rainbow beach we checked into Frasers on Rainbow hostel and Alice Shelley and I went on the Bush walk reccommended by Forest. Matty took us thorugh the bush and then up on to a HUGE sand blow. He told us the aboriginal story about how the coloured sands were formed and then showed us some of the many different types. It was pretty cool watching him make a Raindow picture just useing the sand. We then climbed back to the top of the blow and watched the sunset....absolutly stunning! First proper sunset I have seen since i've been away.
Tuesday 21st: We woke up at 5:30 to be ready for sea kaykaing with Dolphins at 6. We had a dirve down the beach looking at the sand and also did a bit of whale watching before we got into the Kayaks. We saw about 6 Dolphins quite close to us. We then spent the rest of the day on the beach. We did a bit of kareoke in the evening and had a pool party at the hostel. Really good night.
Wednesday 22nd: last day in Rainbow :( Lazed around most of the morning and then got our next bus at about 3. Really bumpy ride to Hervey Bay.
Rainbow Beach is my favourite place so far, the hostel was lovely, the views were amazing and the people were great! I could have spent a good few more days there.
