Still at free camp just outside Uluru. Had a fantastic day yesterday at Kata Tjuta or the Olgas. Drove in and did a great walk to Walpa Gorge. Kids loved the 1 hour return trip walk as it was over rocks and the sheer walls of the gorge were mind blowing. Kids loved yelling and doing animal sounds that echoed all around. Amazing couple of days. Have been up to close hill to watch the sunset every night and have felt energised and amazed by where we are and what we are doing. It seems to get better each night. It has been colder and cloudier the past few days and we had a heavy storm that bucketed down on the campsite but the sunset seems to encompass the energy seen within the weather changes producing amazing rainbows and other breathtaking effects. Wow!! I am so excited to be at the red centre and to be staying in the most incredible free camp, just outside Uluru in the beautiful red sand dunes. I just went for a walk up to the closest hill and from the top could see Uluru in all it's glory. It really is breathtaking.
