Cooinda Kakadu National Park ( 9th - 12th July) Arrived back to Cooinda after doing the Gagadju boat tour in the East Alligator River / Ubirr. The river is called East Alligator as it was named by colonists that didn't know about crocodiles at the time and the differences between them therefore presumed they were alligators. Animal Tracks Tour - Cooinda - Kakadu (10th July) Yesterday, 10th of July, we headed out early to the Woodland's ranger talk at Mardugal. Fantastic 2 hour led walk introducing us to all the plants of the woodlands, which cover 80% of Kakadu. The other 20% is stoneland or wet lowland areas. Maddy's real 5th b'day at Cooinda Kakadu (9th July) Had a great relaxed day today for Maddy's b'day. Riley spent the day with us again which was great.
