spent yesterday on a bus. through absolutely beautiful scenery. NZ is gorgeous!!!

note on NZ bus drivers: a very freindly and cheerful breed who have lots of knowledge about the road they're driving down and are more than happy to share this with the passengers on bord. consiquently you get a sort of guided tour as you go. is delightful.

went through a national park and now know what bilbo baggins meant when he said, 'i want to see mountauins Gandalf, mountains!'
wasn't quite like piture but almost.

i went up this cable car!!!! and went to a botanicle garden and played in a kids play park.

this morning we explored a bit and went to the national meuseum (Te Papa) very cool museum and free!! couls spend days just wondering about in it. they have an outside bit and we sat in this ampitheater thing and ate our lunch surrounded by begging birds. we fed them our crusts. we were siting on the top level and were trying to train teh birds to only beg for food from the one below us. emma took a particular duck in ahand and managed (eventually) to entice it to teh lower level.
i like wellington. nice to see building wich look a bit more permant (most look as if one could stamp and teh hills will squish it) saw the government buildings which looks like a giant beehive. found a red post box.
hostle is huge but with a very frindly resident cat.
