hi! me again.
well, i think i'll jump straight in...
today, (major excitment here) we went to HOBBITON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! went on bus tour tho we were the only ones on the bus. was far too fun and interesting showing what geeks we really are. we even danced under the party tree! he he he. there was a tv in the bus and we watched the 1st film afterwards on the way to this bird place where they had some kiwi's. kiwi's are medium sised fairly pointless birds who aren't used to haveing any predators and so do not fly and aren't very bright and lay eggs that are bigger then their stomachs. way bigger, i can't personally see how they fit inside their bnodies let alone come out, only ostrich eggs are bigger i think. needless to say they are almost extict. to anyone who knows Mrs Cowell i think she'd say the same about these as she say about pandas. though kiwi's are very cute in a dopey bird sort of way.
am in waitomo now and have booked to go blackwater rafting tomorow in the glow worm caves. then are catching 12:30 bus to rotorura.
we're gonna take it easy this evening and take annabel to her first leagal pint. hostel is really nice and our room is huge!
waitomo is tiny. there;'s one small school a little corner shop and a post office and the rest is for tourists. for such a 'must go to' place its tichy. there is aslo an angoran rabbit farm where you can go and watch a sheering.
have learnt some interesting facts about NZ.
there is about 4.1 million people living in the whole of NZ, with 1.3 million of those living in Aukland. that is compare with approximately 40 million sheep. we are outnumbered i think, and if it ever came to an out and out fight i do not think we should win.
scenery is awesome, really it is! its like england but......more awake, younger, more vibrant. hills in england seem to have given up any aspirations of being anything bigger. they're a bit sad and grumpy, can't see the point and sometimes contemplate maybe becoming a mound. but hills in new zealand are like, "Yeah! we're hills! maybe one day I'll get to be a mountain! rock on!!"
oo oo! pictures are here!! at least they are on emmas site so i shall refer you to them......
