this morning we went for a short walk around teh bay to a little beach. picton is a small place that wakes up for about half an hour each time a ferry from wellington comes in, the settles back down into a gentle slumber. has a good backery though.

met our stray bus. some of teh people already knew each other from being on teh same bus on teh north island. bus driver called gerad and likes sheep. bus is bit dingy but comphy all teh same. went to nelson to pick up another passenger then set off for teh abel tasmen national park. we're staying in a place called old macdonalds farm not quite a hostel but not uqite a campsite either. owner can't get permission to build more permanet structures so its all a bit temproary. played lots of cards and 'i can see teh moon in teh spoon' took some people ages and ages to get it.
