We all got up and headed out in our jeeps again today. We stopped at a shop to get some picnic snacks again, and headed to find 'Wallaby way' (out of the film finding nemo, even though it's not actually the same street). Me, Kirsty, Lauren and Carly walked around trying to find some wild Koala's but couldn't see any much to my disappointment. Vicky, Dave, Jo and Susy caught up with us and we spent the day driving round different places on the island. Florence bay, Horseshoe bay, Picnic bay. We went for a walk up some mountain slope and Vicky and Dave had powered ahead. The rest of us got hot and tired so walked back and Susy and Jo sat telling us funny stories whilst we waited for the others to return. We had to drop the jeeps back and go and check out the hostel and start our journey to Cairns. We got the ferry back to Townsville with Vicky and Dave then all got on the greyhound bus to Cairns. An american guy called Ryan who we had met at Magnetic Island was sat behind us on the bus and was helping Kirsty get some music on her phone. We stopped at a service station where Kirsty ended up leaving her purse with $60 and her bank card in, but didn't realise until we were already back on the bus, so she was really upset about that. A girl on our bus, Kim, came with us to the hostel because she was on her own. We were staying at Gilligans which seemed to be the most popular hostel in Cairns and a lot of our friends were going to be here over the next week we were here which was good. Me and Kirsty had booked a 6 bed deluxe dorm with a TV which was nice for a change. By the time we had got in the room our roomies had gone out drinking so we only met one guy who was actually just leaving. Kirsty was tired so stayed in and watched tv, but I got changed and went down to Gilligans bar to meet my dutch friend Jess, and Joe who was also staying here. We watched a mud wrestling competition which was all really odd. The bar was really busy though and i briefly bumped in to Jack from back in Surfers paradise. After a few drinks i headed to bed, it had been a long day. Kirsty was the only one in bed, so i climbed in to my bottom bunk and drifted off.
