The flight was about 12/13 hours long, and i was surprised that i managed to sleep for a solid 6 hours. I never sleep for long on a plane, but it was dark and quiet, and i was really tired. I watched 'The Intern' and had a snack when i woke up, then it wasn't long before we touched down in Zurich. I didn't have to wait around long for the connecting flight. It was funny that i was the only one there that looked like a traveller. Everyone else was in business wear clearly going to work. When we got on the plane i was sat next to one of the businessmen who was asking where i had flew from, he sounded surprised when i said Australia, as he had probably not long got out of bed, and here i was a day later still flying around haha. I didn't really have the energy to socialise though so as soon as we took off i found a row of three empty seats and lay down to sleep. About 24 hours from when i first started my journey, we landed in Birmingham. I couldn't wait to grab my bag, and dashed through arrivals to see my mum. She was stood with a 'Welcome home' balloon and we both cried and ran to hug each other. I was so happy to see her. She couldn't wait to show me her new car, which only has two seats so she had leave my Dad at home. Seeing how excited my Mum was to have me home made it all worth coming back for. I have had the time of my life, and will never forget Australia. It exceeded my expectations and Sydney and the Whitsundays defintely stole my heart. Until next time... X
