Saturday 6th February
7am alarm again! We got up, had breakfast and packed our bags ready to leave our rooms. We jumped in our jeeps and drove to Lake wobby. No one warned us but we had a 40 minutes walk through the forest to get to the lake. There were hills, flies and sand to get there, which me and Laura were the least impressed with. Kirsty and Vicky were laughing that the flies were going for me and Laura. It was so humid and warm, that the whole combination wasn't going well with our hangover. We managed to make it though. Some of the group were rolling down a steep sand hill in to the lake. When we got in there were the little fish that we get at home that nibble your feet, and there were cat fish. I've had a bit of a phobia of fish since I was younger which I can't really explain but it took some convincing myself to get in the water! We did a bit of sunbathing after we got out the water but then the clouds were back. We walked back after a couple of hours of being there and got back in the jeeps to head back to the resort for lunch. On the way we stopped at an old shipwreck to have a look around and take photos. Back at the resort, it was our last meal as a group and everyone was adding each other on Facebook and promising to keep in touch which was nice. We drove back to the ferry and back to rainbow beach to drop the jeeps off. A couple of us were staying in rainbow beach but the rest of the group got a mini bus back to Noosa to stay there another night and have a few drinks. Me and Kirsty had chose not to as it meant going back down the coast to come back up again the next day which didn't make sense. We also just wanted to have a quiet night after a crazy few days. We checked in to Dingos in Rainbow beach and had Adam (British), Christina (German), Olivia (German), Kevin and Emilio (Swedish) in our room. Me and Kirsty went to a local 'sports bar' which was more like a social club we would get back home. Gaz had told us they did a backpackers special menu so we went there for dinner. It was nice and the atmosphere was good, with families in there as well as locals. We went back to our room after dinner and a girl Christina had met came to our room and we realised she was from Coventry as well, and knew one of my sisters best friends. Small world. We sat talking to our roomies for ours and all just chilling out, before I crashed out about 10pm.
