Sunday 17th January.
We got up early and headed to get some food shopping from Woolworth's. We picked up a cooked roast chicken for dinner which we were both looking forward to. We spent some time looking round the clothes shops afterwards then came back and went to the beach. We lay down there for a while and I was writing our names in the sand like a big kid. We left late afternoon and got showered and headed to the kitchen area to make our chicken dinner with potatoes and veg. It's not the same as having Mum's Sunday dinner but we were both happy with it. A local guy called Terry came round and asked us if we wanted to go for a surf lesson in the morning with his company called 'Cool Katz'. We signed ourselves up because we both wanted to try surfing whilst we were here. We met a big group of Australian's after dinner, who were three families here on holiday together. We were amused by the fact one of the mums was called Lisa and the other was called Kirsty. Kirsty isn't really a popular name out of the UK and most people call her Kristy. They were all really nice, and apologised if they were being too loud but we reassured them that wasn't an issue with us! We sat drinking with them for a couple of hours then headed out to 'Balcony Bar' for a drink, then on to 'Beach hotel bar'. It was really big but busy in there and we were going to stand at a table but an English lad sat behind us said we could sit on their table. His name was Adam and he was with a guy from Perth and two Turkish girls who had all met in their hostel. We all started playing drinking and card games and I quickly became the most drunk, and I was rubbish at the card games and Kirsty was trying to get me suspended for a few rounds. The others thought it was funny though so let me carry on playing. It was really funny and we stayed there with them until the place closed and we had to leave.
