Day 40 - 17th Feb - Today was possibly one of the best of the trip, when we were in the first hostel, talking to someone they said we should try and rent an apartment for a couple of days if we were going to spend some time in Melbourne, which we did and got a holiday apartment just outside the city for the next 4 nights. When we got there they had messed up our booking so had to upgrade us to a 2 bedroom apartment, it was such a nice place! we had a kitchen, dining table, living room with TV and DVD, bathroom and the 2 rooms one which had a double bed (I drew the straw for) so luxurious for us! And all of that for the same price that we paid for the scummy 10 bed dorm from the nights before! Evening we just settled in, relaxing and did some food shopping.
