Day 48 - 25th Feb - Today we became a four!! Angie who we met on Contiki met up with us today, so the planning continued and we went to sort out our greyhound ticket up the east coast and sort out what we wanted to do in Sydney. Booking it was a mission, got sent on a wild goose chase by some woman who sent us to completely the wrong place, but managed to sort it out eventually. Day 47 - 24th Feb - Today we started to plan our lives, we found a really useful backpackers expo on in the city which we thought would be really useful, so we headed there for most of the day. Got loads of information about the east coast, about the greyhound and what we wanted to do etc. Dinner tonight was a bed picnic! Got loads of food on the way home from the supermarket! Did some planning so productive day!

Day 46 - 23rd Feb - Up early to go and meet up with Nicole (who we met on contiki) in Blackburn, just outside Melbourne, so day out of the city. We met Nicole and spent the day at the Healesville Sanctuary. which is in the Yarra Valley Region. The Sanctuary is a wildlife park it is pretty small and you get to walk around seeing the animals really close up, you even get the opportunity to touch some of them. Got our first opportunity to see some Australian animals...

Day 45 - 22nd Feb - Spent the day doing tourist activities in the city, got onto the free hop on and hop off bus around to Parliament, China Town and Theatre District. Walked around the Treasury Park and Fitzroy Gardens which had a model village, a conservatory full of plants and fairies tree. After this we went to the Parliament building for a tour around, which included the Australian equivalent of the House of Lords and Commons, really interesting.

Day 44 - 21st Feb - Left our little apartment today boo, wish we could stay at places like this the whole time! Moving into the city centre this time into a cheap hotel which again was cheaper than staying hostels. During we the day we went into the city to have a wander about, went to the Australian Institute for Moving Images, which was interesting had a good exhibition of student films and games.
