Day 77 - 25th Mar

Headed to Rainbow beach today, up the coast. Going up there ready to go to Fraser Island the day after. Rainbow beach is really small, not really a lot to do here, but people really only come here before they go to Fraser, like we are doing. In the afternoon we had a meeting at the hostel to prepare us for camping/4 wheel driving on Fraser. We got put in a group of 11 with the 4 of us, 3 Germans, and 4 Irish. We got to meet the Germans which were really nice, 2 girls and a guy but the Irish lot were late so missed the meeting. We had a briefing about what we could possibly do on the island, what food we were being given and a talk about the trucks and driving them. After the meeting me and vix sneaked off into town to sort some stuff out, as it was D's birthday while we were on Fraser so we got a few bits to help celebrate, just some banners and party hats etc. The rest of the evening we spent backing our tiny little backpacks with our stuff to take on the Island and relaxing in our room. Met some really nice girls in our room, so stayed in there chatting to them.
