Day 71 - 19th Mar - On the greyhound to Brisbane in the morning which was particularly uncomfortable today, but got to our hostel by 12ish. Headed straight into the city centre to do some exploring and find our bearings. Actually quite nice to be in the city, as it seems like all we have been doing for a while is going from one beach to the next, some time in a city will make us appreciate going back to the beaches. We had a walk around the main shopping district, then got on the free hop on, hop off city bus. We got off by the river and botanical gardens, had a stroll around the park and into the Queensland University of Technology which runs along side them both. We went to the free exhibition in the University art gallery, which was a private collection with a range of different art, ceramics, paintings, and some modern art. After we just walked back along the river towards the south bank, it's a really newly regenerated area meaning it was so spotless, clean and immaculately gardened and landscape. It even had a man made beach there, which is the only beach in Brisbane, but we didn't go on it. Evening which just went into the local area where the hostel is (The West End) and played some cards on the deck of the hostel.
