Day 22 - Again up early to try and find out what is going on from the rather unorganized Fijians who even though there was a hurricane were still operating on Fiji Time. It is slightly annoying as no-one seemed to know what was going on or whether a boat would be able to come and get us or not. Had breakfast and were informed that a boat would be on the island in 30 mins.. queue everyone rushing around trying to sort themselves oput before the boat came, luckily we were all prepared and were the first off the island. Although the trip on the little boat across to the crusier did feel as though we were going to be thrown over-board at any point, we made it back to the main land finally. Think almost everyone left the island that day while they could, no-one had any idea if any boats would be going out again in the next few days so there was a mass exodus. So relieved to be on the mainland even if it is flooded, and had a curfew of 7pm due to looters! Spent the afternoon getting back to normality, telling the family we were ok, doing some washing and getting back in contact with the world!
