Hello all. I am now back in Bangkok after another 12 hour bus journey. It was nice in Sihanoukville although it was low season so there wasn't many people there but it was nice to chill out. We went to a few beach parties & ended up partying with the locals most nights. I left Paula & Karen there & headed to Siam Reap. It was lovely although I didn't do much, I just caught up on my sleep & went to see Angkor Wat which was fantastic. But a very long day. I went from 8am to sunset so a whole day of temples & I don't think I ever want to see another temple again!
I was eager to get back to Thailand & do some chilling out on the islands. I was lucky & caught the last bus back to Bangkok. It's the Khymer new year which is a massive three day celebration & they close the Bangkok bus route. I arrived in Bangkok last night & immediatley booked to go to Kho Tao for today. I had to pay twice as much for my ticket because of the new year celebrations but at least I got one. It's a mad house here & I don't want to stay here any longer! The whole town stops working & has a water war. It's not too bad when you have a few water pistols fired at you but it's not like that - they throw buckets over you! I'm soaked, even as I'm on the computer now. Sam & Craig know what it's like because they arrived in the middle of it this time last year. My bus is at 5 so I can't have a shower or anything because I had to check out of my room so I have to get on the bus soaked & covered in this sticky paste they cover you in. It takes 15 hours to get to Ko Tao apparently, then I have to wait for the boat over. I feel like I've spent the last week on a bus & I can't wait to spend a month just chilling out & partying on the islands.
First up is Kho Tao where I'm going to do some scuba diving hopefully, then I'm off to Kho Phang Ngan for the full moon party where I'm meeting Nick & I can't wait! I've got a bit behind uploading my pics, I will try & upload some more soon.
