We are on the way to Grasse today to visit a French perfumery, Fragonard. Beautiful scenic drive. If only I was rich enough to live here.

The perfumery was surprisingly interesting, picked up some great tips and also couldn't resist a purchase of pure French perfume called Belle de Nuit. Gorgeous indulgence.

After the perfumery we head to the centre of Nice to have a nose around. Picked up some lovely bargains including a spangly watch which I love. I only bought this to avoid the dreaded 'booth of truth'!! but glad I did.

Went to the top of a posh hotel (the name of which escapes me right now) as it has the best views on the roof terrace where you can have lunch. We cheekily went to the top on the pretence of taking a few photos before ordering lunch, but just took the photos and ran! The views are stunning, just a shame is was an overcast day and later thundered. I have to admit that I went to McDonalds instead, but on a more positive note I ordered in French which I was made up with as the cashier understood me.

As always, the French people I encountered were friendly and helpful and I really can't recommend France enough.
