Back again to the Riding School, this time for the performance, to see them in the magnificent surroundings is an experience never to be forgotten. Then a lovely lunch next door in yet another fabulous building with glistening chandeliers and listening to a piano recital. Every step you take in Vienna and every building you enter (including shops and cafes) you are surrounded by the most magnificent architecture. After lunch we went on a sightseeing bus tour to try and get our bearings, most enjoyable and interesting, but it didn't help, we still got lost! Lol. We spent the rest of the afternoon wandering around like awestruck country bumpkins until it was time for an early dinner then on to see a Mozart & Strauss Concert in the 14th century Palais Palffrey. We were relieved to discover it was excellent, because after we bought tickets for this we found that we could in fact have got seats in the Vienna State Opera House, which were showing as sold out on the website!
