Well what can I say- such an amazing day!!
After such a tiring and stressful week, we decided to do what the Spanish do best- take a siesta, but for the entire weekend!
When we woke up, it was cloudy which disheartened us a little, but we still planned to go to Seville Cathedral (the 3rd biggest in the world). It was absolutely out of this world, I had seen it from the outside so many times but inside was a completely different experience. The detail that had been put into the architecture, and all the biblical scenes were amazing- and then the cathedral tower...just wow! We climbed up (all 32 levels) and the view of Seville was incredible, you could see for miles and miles in all directions. However, it did overwhelm me seeing just how big a City I now live in having lived in such smaller places all my life. I just didn't know where to start with the place, but I guess familiarity will come with time.
The second experience I had today was the Metropol Parasol. This landmark actually impressed the same amount as the Cathedral, but in a completely different way. It was so modern, so well thought out and SO abstract- they had even altered it and put a path through the big sculpture so you could walk on top of it! My picture for today is me and Annie on top of the Metropol Parasol with the Cathedral in the background.
It turned out to be the hottest day yet! And just to update you all on my pedometer adventure, I used it today for the first time and had walked 19,458 steps in one day?! (Equilevant to 12km!)....that just shows how much I am going to be moving around the City, though I am also eating my body weight in food everyday so I am hoping the two cancel each other out!
Tomorrow we plan to go to the beach so I will update you all laterrr! Until then, besos <3
