We all just got off the cruise a bit ago, and are waiting for the rest of our group to meet up with us in about 5 hours. We are currently in a small little town in the middle of nowhere. All we really have to do is use the internet or sit on the beach, without our swim suits. But that's fine with me, I got plenty burnt on the cruise yesterday. I'm going to have a nice tan though.Â
Overall, the cruise ended up pretty well. Only the first day was bad luck, and from there it got better. The food was amazing, the sights were beautiful, and the all you could eat ice cream while sitting on the sun deck didnt hurt.
Yesterday, we slept in, which felt so good. In the afternoon, we headed off on a boat to Santorini and walked around the volcano, which really isnt much of a volcano, pretty short, and not what I think of when I see a volcano. Our boat took us to the "hot springs" which werent hot, and wasnt really a spring. We had to jump into the freezing cold ocean to get to them. Next we headed back to the main island for a quick drive. Unfortunatly we didnt get to walk around Santorini, we had to head right back down as soon as we got to the top because our ship was about to leave. But the best part of the trip so far was how we got down. We rode DONKEYS for like 10 minutes, down these stone step pathway. It was hysterical, I couldnt stop laughing the whole way down. One of the guys was scared the whole way down and I thought he was going to freak out! The sunset was beautiful on the way down!!!
Today we are headed to Preveza, Greece, which we will really only be sleeping in, and then heading back out on the coach tomorrow for another long drive up to the Dalmation Coast along Albania and Croatia. We will be stopping by Split, which is what I'm so excited about!!!!!
