After 5 weeks in Hervey Bay we packed up and hit the road heading for Gladstone (region). Decided to set up camp at Calliope River Rest Area (Southside) while we see if there are any work prospects.
Perfect temporary home with the Calliope River 10 steps from the front door. Jai is loving the fishing (Barra, cod, mangrove jack) and there is plenty of live bait. Would highly recommend a stay.
After a couple of days of rain (and more forecast) we decided to relocate to the northern campground (higher and more shade) just in case. The lack of sunshine highlighted a problem with the battery (3 year old car battery) and so a new purchase (deep cycle) was in order.
