Throwing caution to the wind
After completing a 3 day trek on Hinchinbrook Island and spending a recovery night at Cardwell, we started making our way to Cairns in preparation for me to start work at the hospital.
We decided to spend a couple of nights at Babinda (RV friendly town). There are two options for free camping - Babinda Boulders (limited campsites) and Babinda Rotary Park which is on the banks of Babinda Creek. We decided to call Babinda Creek home for two nights. Busy camping area but great amenities and the creek is crystal clear with fish and turtles.
We spent the first day exploring (Babinda Boulders) and the second day drove to Cairns (without the caravan) to scope out potential caravan parks.
