The arena built 70ad and restored 1860s is used for bullfighting and concerts the movie gladiator was filmed there too - its 5min walk from our hotel. Paul met the GM who gave us an improptu overview of the history andfuture plans - they have had Elton John perform in concert. He was a great guide we didn't need the audio afterall. So we have seen arenas temples churches. Every church we enter seems more beautiful than the previous one - we have a ritual lighting candles in each one - keep us safe on our travels. tmrw we are off to stay in a chateau - can't wait.
