Oh what a surprise...more rain! Still we had a good day in Townsville, we went to the museum of North Queensland and it was really interesting, the best bit was the stuff about the Pandora ship when it sunk in the Great Barrier Reef. Then we went on a walk up some cliff face that looked like it was out the lion king. It was quite knackering, and the views were good until about 3/4 of the way up when we were in a cloud and couln't see anything. Then we went for a swim, ah yes another memorable swim. I'm starting to think that swimming in Fanshawe again will be like heaven! Yes it was outdoor and not connected to the sea but it wasn't heated and it was the coldest weather for that region since the 1800s!! Brett couldn't hack it and got out after 2 lengths, and another 2 blokes got out, it was only me and another man from Newcastle (the Australian Newcastle) that stayed in! Well you couldn't stop for long because you started shivering but nevermind I got a swim and a lovely freezing cold shower after! After we went to warm up in a steak house place and I finally sampled some kangaroo! It is very nice and succulent, and I also had a jacket potato, my 1st in nearly 3 months!!!

This morning we drove to Mission Beach where it's not raining which is a novelty. We've just booked white water rafting on the Tully River for tomorrow, Grade 4 rapids, should be interesting!!!!!!!!!!!
