Well we are only in Rotorua for 2 nights which is lucky because the hostel we are in isn't so good. It has everything you need its just skanky!!
Yesterday we arrived and went around teh Government Gardens. This place really really smells. It's like bad eggs! We also went to Lake Rotoura which is really nice too.
On the way to this place we drove through Hobbiton!
Today we went on a tour of waimangu a volcanic valley- the newest geothermal system in the world I think! We went on a guided tour and on a trip across the lake, was really good seeing frying pan lake, and all the steam is good. The rocks aroudnb the lake are hot to touch and I touched some of the less hot water and it was really hot. A few metres under the earth at the centre of the lake it reaches 400 degrees C. You can see all the little whirlpools and bubbling. Most of it is much too hot to touch.
We then went zorbing, in a ball like a hamster ball with water in down a hill. That was excellent fun! Got soaked but it was really good!
Next Taupo!
