Well we stayed in Auckland for 3 nights, was knackered when we got there cos of all the flying and transfers. We went up the sky tower and it was scary, it had some glass bottomed floors, went to a Mauri museum which was good and to a harbour exhibition thing where we went on a boat that had come from Ireland in 1800s and still had everything as it had been left then, we were the only ones on it and it was creepy! We went to the domain adn then the next day , in true gepgrapher style went for a 6km walk and up Mount Eden, the views were really good and a Japanese woman farted up the top by the massive crater. It was so funny! Then we walked another marathon to the observatory where we had a night sky viewing thing which was really good, makes you realise how tiny and insignificant we are and this planet is! Auckland is like a proper city but the shops are like Hertford in a way, you cant get clothes anywhere but Billabong and Rip Curl!!!!
We also went to the island of Devonport the 1st inhabited island in NZ I believe! We played in the sand on the beach and went on a tour in a minibus, the views of aukland were really good.
We returned for an extra day to Auckland after the Bay of Islands and went to Kelly Tarlton's Underwater World and saw some more sea life!!! Not as good as the dolphins in real life though!
The coach company seems good and nice, weird drivers though. Brett looked like a gimp sleeping on the coach though. THe woman opposite exchanged a smile with me!
I have won gimp of the week for the 1st week in NZ for going to the toilet when I didnt even need to go (I wasnt sure when the next one would be) and making us miss the ferry! hahaha, still not as good as hitting your eye on the stationary telescope though!!!!
