Inverness / Glasgow
1st -7th May

Day 1: Today we headed off for Inverness. On the way we saw some awesome castles including Stirling castle and Blair castle. After that we headed up the highlands and arrived in Inverness. We saw the Inverness castle and then found Maureen and Alistair's place in Evanton.

Day 2: This morning we practised putting up our tents Vanessa and I’s one was great but Mum and Dad took a while to work theirs out. After that we went into town to get the rest of our camping gear. We also saw a game of shinty being played it looked fun but it was really rough.

Day 3: WE got away early and headed up the hill to the Fyrish monument a huge stone monument the walk was very scenic and some great views at the top. Later we got to go on a navel frigate(ship) you could go inside the bridge and seeing all the gear and guns even though it was freezing cold. Afterwards we saw Allan ,Dads cousin referee a rugby game and later went to there place for dinner the food was amazing Also there kids Iyla and Kay and there partners Craig and Aaron.

Day 4: Today we left Evanton and on the way to Helens place we saw Kathryn and George after that we had tea at Helens and stayed the night.

Day 5: Today we did the Culloden battle field We learnt all about the battle and the build up to it. We also learnt some history about our clan the MacDonald's. We saw the MacDonald stone but we couldn’t find a Campbell stone to kick they are our enemies (they fought with the English government .

Day 6: Today was Vanessa's birthday we went to lunch with Ian and Patricia and then drove back to Inverness we had a party for Vanessa it was really fun
