A welcome arrival of Burns Beach ended the dry spell of lazy beach days until an unruly seagull made it hard to eat our chicken and hummus sandwiches in peace. We decided to take advantage of the cycle path that runs from the city all the way up the coast and hire two cruisers. Managing to get to Mullaloo Beach and back in the hour was a great effort as well as an indication that the month on the Kiwi Experience bus has severely put a dent in our fitness. A relaxing ice coffee at the stunning Mindarie Keys was much needed.
Here we witnessed a boat sinking in the harbour, this provided some unexpected entertainment for an hour or so as the scuba rescue tried to recover it. With our palettes captured by the gourmet pizza scene we made an effort to recreate for dinner. Mel and Lorna are being well looked after as we are grasping any chance of normality during the stay.
