We completed the sweltering hike to the Phi Phi viewpoint. Even with this being our second time it was still amazing. And Rich and Jenny were able to get 'The Photo'.
After an hour and a half boat trip to Tonsai, we spent the best 100b of the trip....on a motorbike ride to our hotel. But not just any motorbike, a bike, a side cart, 6 people and luggage, the best thing is they thought we were joking when we offered them 100b for the journey. It turns out they weren't actually taxi drivers just locals who had a bike. They agreed, found some wooden planks to create a floor in the side cart and found it as funny as we did. The terrain was rough to say the least.
On arrival at the wooden bungalows, we found a baby monkey running about the place like a child. A naughty child. This was made clear when the owner told us that he was going to kill it and BBQ it. We don't actually think he was joking, he was an angry man.
After a few beers in the weed/mushroom filled bars, SeaBass Live made another terrible appearance. The boys will blame the instruments and the high lead singer/guitar player. But when he stated that he was too high to continue, another guy got up to join the boys. It didn't get much better. Whilst they played away, Char & Jen sat playing jenga with the bar staff as they spoke to them with their Thai/Scouse accents they had been practicing. His favourite phrases were - "I'll see you when you see me!" "I'm rolling stoned!" Highly amusing.
The night ended with a new love....Mamma's chicken burger.
