The longest but most awaited airport stop starts today at 1.40pm and ends tomorrow 9.15am and involves two flights and the phenomenon that is Singapore airport, final destination Saigon (Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam).

With the free cinemas, gaming lounge, butterfly garden, koi pond, sunflower garden, art activities, free amusements to win shopping prizes, computer access, bars, live music and restaurants. We also had a free $20 voucher each to spend from the airline. This got us looking around the shops, resulting in an adults colouring book and pencils for Char and a notebook and posh pen for Matt. We are sad we know! Every now and again you have got to blow the budget, so Matt purchased some Rayban Eric's which make his fifth pair of sunglasses since February. Hopefully these will last as the street £1 fakes are not cutting it. After a walk round the terminals connect by the sky train it was time to find the snooze lounge and bed down for the night. Even though we were in comfort it is still impossible to sleep in a chair/lounger if you can't sleep on your back. But it was warm, we could recline, plug the phone into the charging station and watch YouTube. It was miles better than a cold floor. The token snores were there ruining it for the rest of us as usual but anyhow we have slept enough over the last week for a sleepless night not to matter.
