So the mission starts, travelling from Darwin to Karratha via Kununurra and Broome which is a total distance of 2900km On the way we saw some amazing scenery, whilst passing through the Kimberly region we saw huge cliffs and mountainous peaks and as the ground turned a dark red colour we slowly made our way to Karratha.
First stop was Ivan hoe village campsite in Kununurra. Setting up tent in the dark was an experience after a 10 hour drive from Darwin tensions were running high. But after dinner we started to relax and a few beers later we hit the sack.
Up early again to catch the worm, we bought some snacks and supplies then headed to Broome where we stayed at the Roey backpackers. Getting there after another 11 hours on the road, we arrive exhausted and irritable, thankfully the hostel beds were alright and everyone woke happy and ready for the final leg of the journey. Passing through the north of Western Australia, was a great experience and I'm thankfull we were able to see such beautiful scenery, watching the landscape change as we bombed it at speeds of up to 240km was exhilarating. Finally we arrive at the destination with time to spare for a well earned rest before terrorising the locals.
