Had a full day day today. Started with the Golden Gate bridge. Took the bus out there. Had a 10.30 am tour.
Took a heap of photos, bridge is really good. Tour was informative but could have just walked it myself. Tour only went out to first tower but we were allowed to continue on ourselves so I walked half way across and then back.
After this I went on the hop on bus out to a town on the other side if the bridge called Sausalito. It used to be a hippy town but now it is a rich town with houses in the hills overlooking the bay. Some if the houses are worth 20 million. It reminded me of Rose Bay in Sydney.
Went back to Fisherman's Wharf and had lunch. I had calamari which was really nice but the seagulls swoop you and actually try to take from your plate so I had to go inside to eat it, then I took a cruise of the bay. Was nice just to sit on the boat and relax a bit. Getting a bit burnt though today and being on the boat and the wind won't help. Weather is much nicer here lower temp and no humidity. New York was hot and muggy whilst Las Vegas was just hot.
Went back to hotel for an hour before the Alcatraz tour. Went on the night tour to Alcatraz. Walked down to pie 33 which took about 1/2 hour but I looked at the rest of Fisherman's Wharf along the way. Saw the sea lions, they were just lazing around in the afternoon sun. There were a few I named Gordon and Henry as 1 was happy to be just lying there and the other kept pushing his way in.
Alcatraz was really good. Took the pre recorded tour. Saw Al Capone's cell. The cells are so small. There really good views of the city from the island as well.
Took the boat back and had a Seafood Chowder soup for dinner from the wharf served in a bread roll. Very nice.

M,D,G & H. You really have seen and done a lot of things. Was the seagull named Henry as well as a seal, trying to steal from your plate.
